Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) Policy Statement

Etihad Rail is committed to maintaining and promoting business continuity and delivering sustainable rail services across the United Arab Emirates. This policy statement reflects the collective responsibility of all Etihad Rail employees and stakeholders in promoting a resilient and a sustainable business operation.

Etihad Rail recognizes the potential risks associated with building and operating a railway network and is fully committed to identifying, assessing, and managing these risks effectively. We believe that most operational interruptions can be anticipated and controlled, and we are committed to achieving continuity of the identified processes, to the agreed levels and within the agreed timeframes.

In order to achieve this, Etihad Rail aims to:

• Protect our valuable assets, namely our employees, customers, associated contractors, and the public.
• Foster a strong Business Continuity Management (BCMS) culture across the organization.
• Comply with applicable federal and local laws, regulations and recognized best practices, and exceed them where appropriate. 
• Actively promote the BCMS program.
• Commit to continually improving the suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness of the BCMS. 
• Establish BCMS objectives as a key strategic organizational priority and implement a business continuity management system, measures, and program across the organization in the design, building, planning of railway operations and executing associated tasks and related functions.
• Integrate Cyber & Information Security measures to protect against cyber threats and ensure the resilience of Etihad Rail operations.
• Collaborate with contractors, suppliers and business partners who share our commitment and can demonstrate good BCMS performance and compliance with our Business Continuity Management System (BCMS)
• Allocate the appropriate resources to achieve continuity of time-sensitive processes and enhance employee awareness and involvement.
